Showa Gojira (ゴジラ Gojira?) is a reptilian kaiju that made its first appearance in the Toho film King Kong vs Godzilla.

"This Godzilla succeeded the 1954 Godzilla after its death during the final moments of the original 1954 film. He used all sorts of strange and unique powers as he defended Earth from other Kaiju like Showa Gigan and Ghidorah."
Main Overview
Showa Gojira is good in melee fights, dealing a lot of damage within seconds at high levels. However, this kaiju's main weakness is health. And because of his low vitality, it is a common strategy to hit and run to reduce damage, similar to Jet Jaguar. While flying, you could also use your punch to hit and run, however this is risky as Punch doesn't have good range and you may become low if fighting a melee-oriented Kaiju. Overall, he is a glass cannon with good rush-down attacks and high damage.
Combat Tips
Showa Gojira can beam spam very well. Showa Gojira boils down to beaming from a distance and using strong melees when an enemy gets too close. Showa Gojira is best against ground kaiju with no beams.

- Before his HP nerf, he used to have over 4000 base health. This has since been decreased to 3,500 base health.
- The price of this kaiju was increased in the Framework Update; it now costs 12,750 G-Cells. His original price was 7,500 G-Cells.
- This Kaiju, along with Godzilla 2021 and many others, has a beam that happens instantly without a wind/charge up.
- Showa Gojira has the slowest flight speed, tied with U.S.S. Argo, out of any kaiju in Kaiju Universe, with a max speed of 80 and a base speed of 59.5.
- Minilla EX technically has the slowest flight speed, but unlike Showa Gojira and U.S.S. Argo, Minilla EX's speed scales with his size, meaning he can be one of the fastest kaiju in the air at max speed or high speed.
- This kaiju and Kamacuras are the only kaiju in the game who only have a single move enabled while flying.
- Showa Gojira and Kamadolph-kun are the only Godzillas that can fly.
- Since Kamadolph-kun is a fan-made variant of Kamata-kun, Showa Gojira is the only actual/official Godzilla that can fly.
- This and Jet Jaguar are one of the only four kaiju in the game to share the same name of an attack, being the Dropkick.
