Titanus Scylla (スキュラ Sukyura) is a giant armored cephalopod/arthropod kaiju created by Legendary Pictures that first appeared in the 2019 film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, as a minor Titan that obeyed Ghidorah, and later Godzilla. It also appears in the Monsterverse comic Godzilla: Dominion as a major antagonist and is mentioned in Godzilla vs Kong: The Official Movie Novelization.

Overview[]

In-Game Description[]

"Alternate between a heavy attack and three light attacks! Light attacks grant Nitrogen. Heavy attacks can be boosted with 3 Nitrogen. Gain back half of the charge cost when hitting attacks. Underneath an oil rig in Sedona, Titanus Scylla (スキュラ Sukyura) laid dormant until she was awakened by Monster Zero; later submitting to Godzilla. Godzilla fended her off from trying to eat a ship containing a nuclear weapon, causing Scylla to relocate to South America. Titanus Scylla is responsible for maintaining the polar ice caps with her liquid nitrogen abilities."

Main Overview[]

Scylla appears to be a spider-like kaiju with squid-like 'tentacles' around her mouth and a snail-like shell at the top. Her body consists of a Nautilus, while her other parts consist of Long-legged spiders such as Black Widows, Australian Hunstman spiders and cellar spiders. At low levels, this kaiju is moderately weak and can be killed by almost every high-level kaiju. At max, however, she can beat many kaijus, yet still have many counters. For this reason, it is enough to compete with kaijus in every Meta possible. Scylla is used best by spamming ranged attacks.

Combat Tips[]

She is a hybrid of the generic forms of fighting: Ranging and Rush-down. This combo isn't exclusive to Scylla, but she pulls it off in the most complex manner. Switching between forms of attacks "Heavy" and "Light" while balancing Nitrogen for a Nitrogen Boost, along with deciding to use Cancel Combo to pull off a Heavy Attack faster or not. This complex kaiju is just as complex to face off against as her mechanics. She has a dash attack and 2 ranged attacks to compensate for her semi-tank-like health bar and mediocre speed on land.

Light combos are the intermediate of the Heavy combos. They are quick and deal minimal damage, but just enough. These attacks are also cheaper and serve as the constant when Heavy Attacks are on cooldown. Relent is used as a buffer to either reach Heavy Attack faster without the use of Cancel Combo and gain Nitrogen, or simply for Nitrogen, though its impacts are indirect. A Scylla can slowly turn the tables by using it at the right times. Nitric Spread has deceivingly long range and is fired to attack at a medium distance for quick chip damage, while her other two Light Attacks are simply combo filler Melee but serve well. Nitric Spread has no effects of slowness, but has a slight knockback, enough to deter Melee attacks.

Heavy Attacks are her most threatening abilities, Sudden Sunder has a deceptively long range that can dupe targets out and quickly kill from a distance. Charging Rip is a very risky attack, but has a lot of reward if pulled off correctly and can be used to flee. In conjunction with Scylla's higher than average Regen rates, this can be used to heal quickly or escape a fatal combo fast. It also grounds fliers who get caught in the attack. It can also be used in conjunction with the CTRL + Shift Lock to quickly hit an enemy with the attack's hitbox and face away at the other duration. Hellenic Fury's raw damage is extremely high, especially when boosted with Nitrogen, making it an easy way to make use of minimal amounts of Nitrogen. Nitric Flare's range is the largest, and fires instantly. Even without a high Nitrogen Stack, this attack can serve a similar role to Nitric Spread, simply chipping away from a distance, but when it is given a full Nitrogen Stack to work with, this attack can fire off an insane amount of damage in a blink of an eye. And give it max damage, Nitric Flare becomes a chipper of health bars. This makes her probably the most difficult kaiju to use.

Trivia[]

  • Before update 3.37.0, Scylla did not have a swimming animation.
  • When roaring, if you are using headphones and you zoom in, a very loud crackling sound can be heard.
  • When swimming, Scylla moves like a cephalopod, however Scylla does not become slowed when idling in the water like Rose Biollante.
